Kids do the darndest things — and in this case it’s pulling a passenger’s ears during a flight — but there’s an unexpected twist.
Brian Fagan, a content creator from the U.S., shared a TikTok of a toddler sitting in the row behind him continuously pulling on his left ear.
In the clip, Brian appears to look frustrated as the baby can be seen trying to grab his airpod and laughing while doing so.
Brian, while looking annoyed, pulls away from the child before taking the airpod out of his ear in the hopes it will stop the child from pestering him.
“Kids on planes are the worst,” he captioned the video.
“I can’t believe these parents let their baby do this the entire flight.”
The video has been viewed more than 6 million times with many quick to slam the parents for not stopping the child.
However, others noted Brian’s sarcasm and pointed out the baby boy, is one of his three children.
“That’s your kid, isn’t it,” one person wrote alongside a laughing emoji.
“Good joke,” a second person said.
“Plot twist: it’s his kid,” wrote a third, while another added: “He has to be your kid. Has too.”
Others noted the resemblance between the two and referenced other videos which apparently feature the same young boy.
“Just looked on his profile it’s his kid,” one follower wrote. “Lmfao! It’s his baby,” said another, while a third added: “Your son looks just like you!”
One person wrote: “This kid looks a lot like you,” to which another responded: “Cause that’s his kid. He is just playing.”
Others noted the similarities between their ears and eyes.
The influencer later commented saying: “I have twins but this is not one of my twins.”
Even so, many users weren’t convinced and discussed the possibility of a third child in the comments.
The clip has gone on to attract 10,000 comments prompting others to share similar experiences.
“I had a kid’s foot in my face an entire flight from Australia to UK once…..will never forget it,” a woman wrote.
“I’ve had one booting the back of my chair from Sydney back to Auckland New Zealand. I was sooo angry,” said another.
“I’d turn round and ask them to stop! I did the same this summer and was called rude! I’d still do it again!! Not me who was rude!” a third added.
Meanwhile, another passenger’s TikTok went viral after he shared his hilarious reaction to a screaming baby on a 29-hour flight.
Henry Beasley, a musician from New Zealand, was recently on-board a long-haul flight to Berlin, Germany, when he decided to record his facial reactions to a crying and screaming baby.
In the clip, which has been viewed more than 1 million times, Henry wrote: “Rate my 29-hour flight to Berlin,” before hilariously adding, “The kid’s got some lungs. Great projection.”
He then went on to give a quick documentation of the very loud flight.
His eyes could be seen twitching as the baby’s screams continued to reach new heights.
“A nice long one here,” he wrote about a particularly prolonged scream. “Kettle’s boiled,” he joked.
In 2019, Japan Airlines introduced a booking system which show where babies are seated on flights.
It’s called a “baby map,” which show travellers who book through the airline website seats that have been claimed by passengers between the ages up to two years.
The seats will have a child icon displayed.
“For flights departing April 11, 2023 or earlier, child icons are not displayed in the following situations: Seats booked as part of a tour or using award tickets and seats selected through means other than the JAL website,” Japan Airlines website states.
